Round 1 - Clipsal 500, February 21st - 24th
As we had 4 allocated races over the weekend and that the Thursday’s race was a first, it was decided that only the last 3 races (races 2,3 & 4) would accumulate points and that all the 1st race would do was allocate the grid positions for race 2.
With the unfortunate accident in the Fujitsu race prior to our Race 3, unfortunately our Race 3 was cancelled and could not be re-scheduled.
To keep our point system in line with all other rounds, the points allocated for Race 3 are calculated based on the addition of Race 2 & Race 4 points, then divided by 2, as can be seen by the attached table.
A point of clarification is that all drivers who get a result in a race will accumulate points. In the instance where an driver does not race in all races of the season, their points will still stand, however if a driver runs in one class and then switches to another class, because of a change of vehicle/class then they cannot combine points from 2 different classes.
