Round 8 - Oran Park, December 4th - 8th

STELLAR FIELD FOR BIANTE ORAN PARK FINALE

A stout 24 car field will contest this weekend’s final round of the Biante Touring Car Masters Series at Sydney’s Oran Park Raceway, with several drivers returning to the fray after missing the second last round at Symmons Plains in Tasmania.

Division One front-runners Jim Richards and Brad Tilley were notable absentees from the Tassie action but will return to burn at Oran Park in their 64’ Falcon Rallye Sprint and XY GT Falcon respectively.

Also returning for the ‘final fling’ at Oran Park are Ian McAlister and his cherry red Mustang, Rod Wilson driving the Gavin Bullas owned GT Falcon, Nigel Benson in the Monaro, Richard Fairlam in the HQ Holden, Bernie Stack in the Porsche 911 RS, Chris Wilson in the LJ XU1 Torana and Cameron Tilley in the iconic blue Valiant Pacer.

You can also throw in former NRL poster boy and celebrated V8 Ute star Jack Elsegood in the Eric Stanford owned XY GT Falcon.

John Bowe will be happy to return to just one means of racing transportation this weekend after he spent most of Tassie ‘car hopping’ as a result of his Sunliner RV Chev Camaro’s engine implosion.

Gavin Bullas has effectively wrapped up the Division One championship after another stellar performance at Tasmania in his awesome Rain City Industries Boss Mustang, and Greg East will be hoping that mechanical gremlins that plagued him on the Apple Isle will be dead and buried as he staves off the advances of fellow Division 2 Championship aspirants Rory O’Neill and Trevor Talbot.

Mathematically East, Talbot and O’Neill still have a chance to win the Division 2 Championship – making for an enthralling weekend ahead to add some extra drama to what is already a very competitive field.
